General Purpose
The Event Manager will implement the production plan, marketing plan and keep the production in or under budget.
Example of Duties
- Work with the Events Committee to execute their vision for Converge.
- Create a production and marketing timeline and tasks in Asana.
- Update the budget weekly.
- If the revenue or expenses are not meeting goals, create solutions and discuss with the show’s team members.
- Confirms and trains crew and volunteers.
- Coordinate choreographers’ needs.
- Reach out to studios for space donations for choreographers.
- Sell business sponsorships.
- Responsible for all marketing initiatives to sell tickets.
- Manage the Studio Subsidy Program that the Converge participants can use.
- Be self-reliant and proactive in seeking information.
Outcomes
- Implement Converge's vision by involving choreographers, dancers, and the audience in community activities.
- Increase event attendance through effective marketing strategies.
- Adhere to budget constraints.
- Engage the community through volunteer participation and a well-prepared event staff.
